Sump Pump Failure

This homeowner in Basking Ridge, NJ experienced a sump pump failure in the semi-finished basement of the home. The rooms in the basement that were affected were the utility room, the main room, and the office. In these rooms, the concrete flooring and carpeting were affected so our crew needed to remove the carpeting in order to successfully sanitize the affected area. There was a substantial amount of content in the basement that required manipulation before being able to start the drying process.

Solutions Provided:

After our technicians moved the content, they began to remove 2 foot cuts from the exterior walls in order to remove the affected insulation. There needed to be surface extraction in order to remove the standing water from the affected areas. After the precaution steps were made, they were able to use 27 air movers, 2 large dehumidifiers, and 2 air scrubbers. to finish the drying process. After 12 hours and 4 technicians, our crew was able to successfully sanitize and start the drying process in the home. The customer was extremely pleased to see the results!

Three Pipe Breaks in an Avenel Home

This homeowner in Avenel New Jersey, suffered from a collapsed ceiling in the living room due to pipe breaks in multiple rooms. There was a total of 3 pipe breaks, including under the bathroom sink, kitchen sink, and in the shower. These pipe breaks ended up affecting 90% of the home. There were many problems our technicians ran into but that did not stop them from successfully drying this home. Because of the home having class 3 damage, they needed to perform 4 foot flood cuts to the dry wall and remove the wet insulation on the exterior walls.

Solutions Provided:

Before our technicians could do anything, they needed to remove the affected materials. The carpet, walls, insulation were all removed along with the vanity because it was highly compromised from the moisture. After they completed the first steps, there needed to be a substantial amount of content manipulation in order to be able to successfully dry the home. In total, 60 air movers, 7 dehumidifiers, 4 large injectidry, and 4 air scrubbers were used to remove the water from the house. Additionally, it took approximately 2 days of work for 14 hours each day due to the seriousness of the job at hand. The homeowner was relieved and happy to see their home dry and clean once again!

Water Damage to Old Bridge Home

This homeowner was replacing the roof of their home, in Old Bridge New Jersey. They covered the open area with a tarp and when a storm occured, the tarp blew off during storm and rain got in house. The rain caused water damage to the attic, master bedroom, foyer, bedroom of the second floor, living room, hallway, laundry room, bathroom and bedroom on first floor, and the basement ceiling. Due to the excess moisture, our technicians had to arrive to the house fast to get rid of the water in order to prevent mold growth.

Solutions Provided:

Our technicians performed a demonstration demolition by taking down damaged sheetrock in multiple areas and removing the carpet in the living room and upstairs bathroom. In order to restore this home from the water damage, our crew had to also take out the damaged ceiling, wall, and insulation. They used 30 air movers, 7 dehumidifiers, and took 12 hours to successfully dry and sanitize and set the drying equipment in the affected areas of the home. After three short days when we picked up the equipment, the customer was extremely happy to see the home dry and clean again!

Frozen Pipe Break

The customer experienced a frozen pipe burst that affected the 2nd-floor bathroom and 1st-floor bedroom. The pipe had frozen under the customer’s tub wetting the floor under the tub, insulation, and ceiling of the 1st-floor bedroom

Solutions Provided:

The project manager decided that for the area to dry thoroughly he would need to set up 1 large and 1 small humidifier, 4 air movers, and 3 hardwood mats. It took 3 days for the home to be completely dried.

This homeowner, in Bridgewater New Jersey, experienced a pipe break that affected his kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a hallway, and the basement of his home. The copper pipe broke between the wall of the master bathroom and hallway on the 2nd floor.

Solutions Provided:

The Project Manager arrived within an hour to assess the damage. He decided that 2 small dehumidifiers, 2 large dehumidifiers, 1 large injector, and 6-7 fans were needed for the job. After 3 hours, 2 of our technicians were able to install all the necessary equipment to dry the areas. After 6 days of the equipment running, the areas were dry and the crew picked up the equipment.
